Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using NexusEd ("the Platform"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you disagree with any part of these terms, you may not access the Platform.
Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years old to use NexusEd. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement and have the legal capacity to enter into these terms.
User Accounts
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to update such information to keep it accurate, current, and complete.
User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent information
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Share inappropriate, offensive, or illegal content
- Impersonate others or misrepresent your identity
- Violate any applicable laws or regulations
- Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's operation
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Platform
- Use automated systems to scrape or collect data without permission
Learning Needs & Content
You retain ownership of content you post on NexusEd. By posting content, you grant us a license to use, display, and distribute it on the Platform for the purpose of providing our services, including matching you with peers and teachers.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on the rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
Teacher Services
Teachers set their own rates and session formats. NexusEd facilitates bookings and processes payments, taking a commission (15-20%) on paid sessions.
Teachers are independent contractors, not employees of NexusEd. We are not responsible for the quality of teaching services provided.
Cancellation and refund policies are set by individual teachers and communicated during the booking process.
Matching & Recommendations
Our matching algorithm suggests peers and teachers based on various factors. We do not guarantee perfect matches or successful collaborations. You are responsible for evaluating and accepting matches.
Payment Terms
Payments for teacher services are processed through secure third-party payment providers. All fees are displayed before booking confirmation.
Refunds are subject to the teacher's cancellation policy and our refund policy, which will be communicated at the time of booking.
Intellectual Property
The Platform, including its design, features, and functionality, is owned by NexusEd and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or create derivative works without our written permission.
Disclaimers
NexusEd is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure. We are not responsible for the accuracy, quality, or outcomes of collaborations facilitated through the Platform.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NexusEd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform.
Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms or for any other reason we deem necessary to protect the Platform and its users.
Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes via email or through the Platform. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
